America is sending arguably its greatest export to London on Sunday morning: NFL football.
The New York Jets (2-2) take on the undefeated Minnesota Vikings (4-0) in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to kick off the Sunday slate of games., kicking off the remainder of the NFL’s international slate of games for 2024.
The Jets get to see an old friend on Sunday: Quarterback Sam Darnold, whom the Jets drafted with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft, has helped guide the surprising Vikings to a 4-0 record.
The veteran backup stepped in for Minnesota when first-round pick J.J. McCarthy was injured and declared out for the season during training camp. He hasn’t looked back since: Darnold leads the NFL in passing touchdowns (11) and is a sleeper MVP pick through four weeks.
The Jets are looking to bounce back from a dreadful showing against the Broncos in Week 4, during which New York mustered just 248 yards of total offense in a 10-9 loss. They failed to score a touchdown in the sloppy affair.
